Our Story

Marras was started by three young men, all forest and all-space fanatics from an early age. Over the years, we have become passionate about the subject, even though, paradoxically, none of us is (any more) employed in the armed forces and we contribute to national defence as members of the Defence League alongside our other professions.

Alongside this passion, we have another essential quality: not to settle for mediocrity, but to strive for better in everything, both in skills and equipment. However, it soon became apparent that the lack of quality and functional equipment, or the absence of some solutions on the Estonian market, was enough of a problem for us to start looking for ways of designing and manufacturing better equipment, especially for ourselves. However, at some point it seemed more logical to start sharing our work not only with the members of our own unit, but also more broadly, and this is what led to the creation of Marras Solutions OÜ in 2023, almost 6 years after the first individual special projects.

Another impetus for the creation of the company was the desire to start promoting and marketing tactical medical equipment, which we believe is still in great demand in the Defence Forces and the Defence League. Our vision is that tactical medicine is a vital part of the individual warfighter’s skill set and cannot be the preserve of “someone else”. That is why one of our first products was a fully packed IFAK with a pocket of our own design.

Marras designs and brings to the market primarily tactical equipment solutions that are not yet known on the Estonian market or that could be significantly improved compared to existing solutions. Every product we bring to the market is created primarily for ourselves, and as a result we are committed to finding the best possible solution in terms of design, choice of materials and quality. We want to offer ourselves and other end-users the added value that comes from the functionality and good quality of the equipment, with a real impact.

Of course, equipment alone means nothing if a fighter lacks the will and skills, but good equipment can make a trained and motivated soldier much more effective. Hence one of our principles: equipment must not become an obstacle!
Each product launched on the market is preceded by 4-5 prototypes tested by different people from the Defence League, the Defence Forces and the police to get the widest possible feedback. The development work does not stop after the product is on the market: any feedback from our customers is golden for us, and we are constantly working to improve our existing solutions.
The Marras team is also committed to doing business honestly: we stand behind our products, we are there for our customers and, as patriots of our country, we are proud to pay our taxes.

Quality soldier equipment

Ideas for new products come to us in two ways: either we discover a problem in our own training that can be solved with a better product, or we hear about a need from our customers. Ideas are only put into practice when we are convinced that we can offer something more functional, better, of higher quality, or sometimes cheaper than what is currently available on the market. This is followed by brainstorming sessions with each other, where we define the necessary features of the product. We are also in constant contact with our customers to get their vision and ideas. Each product on the market is preceded by 4 or 5 prototypes tested by different people from the Defence League, the Defence Forces and the police to get the widest possible feedback. The development work does not stop after the product has been launched: customer feedback - both positive and negative - is our gold standard, and we are constantly working to improve our existing solutions. All our products are sewn in Tartu, Estonia.
